Maintaining a hygienic & infection-free genitals [from un-hygenic causes only] is easier for men than women.

If you practice the following simple tips, you will have a healthy life genital-wise

  • 1.Keep your bowel movement regular by balanced diet & treating the stomach ailments promptly to prevent any bad odor or further complications
  • 2.Do exercises that keeps the muscles healthy
  • 3.If you bathe or clean the penis, the scrotal area & anus at least once a day, it is good enough unless you indulge in sexual activities
  • 4.Uncircumcised should pull the foreskin gently & use a soft soap & warm water Failure to clean this area properly will result in residue collection, which may start a bad odor & increase the chances of infections
  • 5.Once you have cleaned the penis head after pulling the foreskin let only release the foreskin after it has dried completely
  • 6.In the boys where the foreskin is difficult to pull do not apply pressure as it will cause serious damage
  • 7.After sex penis should also cleaned
  • 8.After sex you must pee to clean the internal parts to prevent UTI
  • 9.In case you feel any irritation, boils, cuts or any abnormal growth or uncalled for itching which continues, please visit a qualified doctor, it could be UTI, something minor or maybe an indicator of serious thing
  • 10.Hand washing should be a part of genital hygiene
  • 11.Avoid putting talcum powder on penis
  • 12.The base of the penis and the testicles also need to be cleaned daily to avoid a strong sweaty smell from the pubic hair
  • 13.Keep growth of hair very limited in your genital areas as they will keep it moist making drying harder & may cause few infections
  • 14.Wear clean & 100% cotton underwear
  • 15.Night-time you can avoid wearing them if possible
  • 16.The anus should be wiped dry with a tissue or cleaned with water after a bowel movement
