Post Break-up Delusions Those Prevent You from Moving On
If you are the one who is breaking up from your partner then it will probably be alright but if you happen to be on the receiving end & also an emotional one with deep attachment then it will hit you very hard.
Now if you are the one who was emotionally much attached your ex & especially in case you never expected the break-up then the following delusions can keep you stuck and prevent you from moving on in life, which you must.
- 1.Your expecting your ex to come back to you, once he/she realizes his/her mistake of leaving you
- 2.Your assuming that it is just a temporary thing like any other disagreement or arguments you have had earlier & will get sorted out
- 3.Your assumption/belief that your ex was the best thing that had happened to you in your life & nothing can be worse than this
- 4.Your thinking that your mistakes have made him/her go away [this could actually be the case, but if it is not] & if you try to make him see the reason, your ex will come back to you. This is different than the point 1 above
- 5.That your ex still loves & cares for you more than anything or anyone else
- 6.If you can make your ex jealous by getting into a new relationship on rebound, then you may get back to him
- 7.You start believe that you are unlovable, because your ex left you
- 8.You start nurturing the thought that you can still be friend with your Ex & try for that. Nothing can in fact be more damaging to your self esteem
- 9.Some people have this notion that if they make the life of their ex miserable by threat, legal actions or creating nuisance, they may come back
- 10.Then the thought of harming your ex by planning, thinking & executing revenge actions
The fact is Breakups are hard, but you should move on and find someone who will make your world go round again.
You have a choice of either living in the past or break free and focus into your future. Destiny has its ways and we just have to embrace the cards that it hands out to us
